Documentation
Definition
Owner interest sequence number. An owner can have more than one interest sequence number. That allows you to enter a number of sequence numbers for a single owner, thus creating additional entities for that owner.
This is used, for example, in situations in which, for one DOI, there is more than one record for a single owner. For example, an owner could have separate ownership interests in a single DOI for various date ranges. The sequence number is used to differentiate those owner records from one another.
For example, for a single owner, you could have owner interest sequence number 01, owner interest sequence number 02, owner interest sequence number 03, etc.
