Definition

The MMS TIK (take in kind) flag is used to denote whether an MMS TIK contract has been terminated (expired) or not. If this flag is set, it means that the MMS TIK contract has expired, and it also means that statistical entries will not be created in Journal Entry.

Background information:

When MMS takes in kind, RD allocations makes statistical journal entries for them to reflect the amount that they would have been paid had they been selling with the processing company. When the MMS TIK contract is terminated, meaning, it expires, the statistical entries in journals are used as the basis for determining adjustment amounts for PPA during the period that they were take in kind.

In summary:

- If the MMS TIK flag is not set, paycode = 8 and entity type is 02, 03, and statistical entries are created (in JE).

- If the MMS TIK is set, statistical entries are not created.
