Documentation
Definition
The intercompany code is a code for internal ("affiliated") ownership entities. You are in effect saying, "this business associate is an entity that is internal to your company (an internal / intercompany business associate), as opposed to an entity that does not belong to your company. That in turn will affect how revenue is dealt with for this business associate. For example, an affiliated/intercompany BA would receive income, whereas an external owner would receive an owner payable.
Only enter a code in this field in those (rare) cases in which the business associate is internal/affiliated. In all other cases (the vast majority of cases), this should be left blank.
