Definition
When selected, indicates that an imbalance provision exists in the contract that specifies how to handle imbalance situations.
Example
A gas balance agreement exists between Company A and Company B.
Company A is transporting gas to Company B. Company A states that it is sending Company B 1,000 MCF of gas, but Company B then receives only 990 MCF. Company A still wants to be paid for 1,000, while Company B wants to pay only for what it received, 990 MCF.
There may be a provision in the contract between the companies that specifies how to handle imbalance situations such as this.
When this indicator is selected, it informs you that the contract between the companies does contain a provision about how to handle imbalance situations, and that you should review the contract for specific details.
