Definition

Reference division of interest (DOI) number. Ownership data can be copied by reference, so this is the source DOI for copying.

When you specify a reference DOI here, and select Enter, a dialog box is displayed, which prompts you to enter an effective date for copying. The system, during copy by reference, will use the date to fetch effective ownership records for that particular date from the source DOI. The retrieved ownership records are then copied to the target DOI. In the dialog box, you can choose specific items related to ownership to be copied from the source DOI. The following items are available for selection (if you don't make a choice, all of them will be selected: owners, bearer groups, marketing free, owner exempt, sliding scale, legal description, long text, base DOI, owners, and bearer group.
