Definition

Determines whether, in the material movement process, a BOM explosion is performed for the material.

Use

In the process for creating material movements for business locations, the system derives a material handling group from the business location. It uses the material handling group definitions to check whether a material is marked for material movement posting and, if this is the case, whether it is also marked for BOM explosion within this process:

• If you set the indicator to 1, the BOM is only exploded at one level.
• If you set the indicator to X, a BOM is exploded fully. This means that sub-items are also exploded.
• If you do not set the indicator, no BOM explosion occurs for the material.
