Documentation
Definition
The number of packages in which the rented equipment is expected to arrive.
Use
OLM rental mobilization will create additional non-value purchase order items for certain service items. The purchase order items are used to receive rented equipment at the base warehouse and trigger OLM cross-docking functionality to manage dispatch of the rented items to a remote location.
The number of packages determines how many mobilization items (the non-value purchase order items mentioned) are created. By increasing the number of packages after the initial mobilization, standard material handling is available also for subsequent deliveries.
Example
After some time a part on a rented turbine may break. The supplier will replace this, and an additional delivery will be expected. Increase the number of packages by the number of packages in the additional delivery.
