Definition
Defines the type of object used in the Remote Logistics Management document flow.
The Offshore Logistics system uses a document flow database that identifies documents and document items using an object type and and object identifier.
The object type defines the type of document or document item, for example 'shipment' or 'goods receipt item'. Many object types may be defined for a single SAP document type, for example separate object types are defined for 'container' and 'package' but both are represented within SAP as 'shipping units'.
The object identifier identifies the docment or document item . it is built using up to three fields from the database table of the original document or document item. for example the object identifier for a 'goods receipt item' is made up of the fields 'document number', 'document year' and 'document item' from the material movement database (MSEG).
