Definition
Select this flag to activate the automatic creation of deliveries during goods receipt.
The Offshore Logistics system recognises offshore plants (e.g. platforms) and onshore plants (e.g. shorebase warehouse). Materials that are requested for an offshore plant are delivered to an onshore plant where they are loaded onto supply vessels and shipped to the offshore plant. The transfer from onshore plant to offshore plant is usually conrolled using one or more delivery documents.
Cross-docking is the process whereby offshore delivereies are generated automatically by the Offshore Logsitics system as materials are received at an onshore plant.
