Definition

One of three fields that are used to define the grouping of base goods receipt items prior to the automatic generation of remote deliveries.

The Remote Logsitics Management system provides functionality that creates deliveries for shipment to a remote plant as goods are received at an base plant. This process is know as cross-docking.

When a delivery is created during the cross-docking process, the items of the goods receipt are grouped together using the values of up to three reference fields, such as material number and purchase requisition. A separate delivery is then created for each group.

Each reference field is identified by a delivery grouping code.
