Documentation
Definition
An 8-position control string, which indicates the capability of the external transport planning system (TPS) represented by the control record. The information held in the control string enables the bulk transport planning interface component to determine what kind of processes are supported by the external TPS and therefore what kind of information can be sent to and received from that TPS.
Flags are set to 'X' to indicate that the external TPS supports a process, ' ' (blank) to indicate that the external TPS does not support that process.
As of the current release, the meaning of each flag in the control string is as follows:
- Position 1 - TPS receives sales orders
- Position 2 - TPS receives deliveries
- Position 3 - TPS sends bulk shipments
- Position 4 - TPS receives delivery confirmations
- Position 5 - Not used
- Position 6 - TPS performs product source re-determination
- Position 7 - Not used
- Position 8 - Not used.
Procedure
The control string is not directly maintainable. Maintenance is via a sequence of checkboxes which are presented to the user in the customizing dialogs.
Dependencies
If the control field is initial, i.e. no flags are set, the transport planning point is regarded as being non-interface relevant.
