Definition
Total quantity of all items in the underlying document (delivery), expressed in the shipment unit of measure (weight or volume).
Use
All shipment items are converted from the units of measure specified in the underlying documents to the shipment unit of measure, when the documents are assigned during scheduling. This enables all shipment items to be expressed in a single unit of measure for weight and a single unit of measure for volume. One of these UoMs (either weight or volume) are then selected through the shipment type to be the shipment unit of measure.
