Definition
This field is for defining the maximum usable capacity of the bulk storage object. This is typically the maximum safe capacity above which, in the case of bulk liquids, there may be a danger of overflow due to expansion in high ambient temperatures.
If the planning type is defined as 'MAX' in the master data level of the planning object ( TSW location / Transport system), the planning engine invokes appropriate planning routine which work as explained below:
The quantities proposed always attempt to match or get as close to the maximum specified inventory level on the receipt date as possible. The maximum inventory will not in any case be exceed as a result of a planning proposal.
