Definition

Early Lock or Late Lock Strategy in Location Balancing.

Use

In early lock, all the records are locked before being shown in edit mode. Hence the save never fails.

In late lock strategy all the records are editable. They are locked during save and if any of the records is locked by another process or changed since last read by the current transaction, the system will provide a status of the same.
