Documentation
Definition
This is the total allowed laytime, as agreed in the contract. The laytime can be an absolute value or depend on a quantity, for example,
24 hours per 500,000 BBL.
Use
Dependencies
In a nomination, the actual laytime is calculated and compared with the total laytime. If the actual laytime is less than the total laytime, despatch has to be paid; if the actual laytime is more that the total laytime, demurrage has to be paid. The values of these depend on the terms that are agreed in the contract.
