Definition
You will have to select the calendar use indicator if you want the planning calendar to be used during the calculation of the planning proposal for each planning object (Transport System/material combination or location/material combination).
The calendar use indicator, together with the planning type determine which planning routine is used for the calculation of the planning proposal.
There are two options available:
1. Calendar active
Indicates that the planning calendar will be used for this planning object. On the Master Data screen, that forces the entry of a planning calendar number.
2. Calendar in-active
Indicates that no planning calendar will be used. Instead, the planning routines check the reorder point defined in the material details of the transport system/location master data. When the inventory is less than or equal to the reorder point value, the planning proposal is calculated.
