Definition
The primary key field of the storage object characteristic document. The field is filled with a 20-character number allocated sequentially from an internal system counter and is not user- definable. The storage object characteristic document number is used to form the general object number within the business object repository.
For the purposes of system investigation, it is possible to display the contents of the storage object characteristic document independently of the storage object to which it refers. This can be done via the general storage object maintenance transaction, O441.
