Definition
This optional field is for defining the minimum possible depth of dip for the bulk storage object. Below this value no accurate conversion from linear to volumetric measures is feasible during the strapping process. The value entered in this field is used in the strapping data entry screen to block entry of linear constants which fall below this figure.
Procedure
Enter the minimum possible depth of dip for the storage object.
Examples
A group of tanks linked together are dipped from one point, although they may be pumped from a number of points. Scavenging of the tank network results in different residual values depending on the pump intake point. For this reason it is not possible to dip (and thus strap) accurately until the liquid levels of the separate tanks are above the levels of the communication pipes.
