Definition
The current version number is made up of the document number plus a two-digit version number that the system issues.
Use
The current version number is used in deliveries and invoices. In the case of deliveries:
The current version number records the change status of the delivery. The current version number allows you to view changes made to the delivery, with reference to the initial delivery.
In the case of invoices:
The current version number allows you to view the differential invoice with reference to the first invoice that was generated.
Dependencies
In the case of deliveries:
To be able to use this function, you must activate document change management for delivery types.
In the case of invoices:
To be able to use this function, you must activate document change management for billing types.
Example
In the case of deliveries:
Delivery number: 80000123.
Current version number after making the first change to the delivery: 80000123-01.
Current version number after making the second change to the delivery: 80000123-02.
In the case of invoices:
Invoice number: 90000123 --> Current version number: 90000123-01.
Corresponding differential invoice number: 90000124 --> Current version number: 90000123-02.
