Definition

Test temperature (the temperature of the calorimeter density) of a product sample that is used for the combustion process. The combustion is carried out in a calorimeter in order to determine the heating value (calorific value) of natural gas. The test temperature (calorimeter density) is used to determine the heating value of the natural gas at base conditions. The volume/density of the sample can be determined for conditions that are different than those used for the combustion process.
