Definition
the pressure at which a material is transported or kept in a storage container. Heavy liquid petroelum products are usually stored at atmospheric pressure. Natural gas can be stored or transferred through pipelines with pressures more than 100 times higher than atmospheric pressure. The material pressure is often called (observed) "flowing pressure".
