Definition

The conversion mode controls whether the oil quantity conversion dialog box appears during an oil quantity conversion calculation.

The functions carried out by the possible values are:

  1. Automatic

Calculations are carried out in the background (i.e. a dialog box does not appear) using default values for the quantity conversion parameters (temperature, density etc.).

  1. Semi-automatic

Calculations are carried out before the dialog box appears, using default values for the quantity conversion parameters. The calculated values are then displayed in the dialog box and can be changed by the user.

  1. Manual

The system displays the dialog box before any calculations are made. If any calculation defaults have been maintained, they are displayed and you can then change them. Quantities can be entered manually. Any quantities not entered manually are then calculated by the system, whichalso validates that any manually-entered quantities are within the tolerance ranges defined in the conversion group.

  1. Semi-manual

The dialog box is displayed before any calculations are carried out. If any calculation defaults have been maintained, these are displayed and you can change them. All quantity fields are 'protected' and are calculated by the system.
