Definition
You can use this indicator to specify the aromatic conversion group in a more detailed manner. ASTM standard D1555-95 is the basis for doing that. You can use the indicator in your customer-specific conversion routine - based on that ASTM standard, or you can use conversion routines once they are made available by the American Petroleum Institute (API), or other applicable organizations.
SAP also provides a function module ( OIB_QCI_AROMATICS) and an empty customizing table for volume correction factors for aromatic hydrocarbon products.
You can maintain this table in Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) by choosing HPM (Hydrocarbon Product Management) -> Petroleum Measurement Standards -> Quantity Conversion Interface (QCI) Configuration -> Maintain volume correction factors for industrial aromatic hydrocarbons.
Then, you can use conversion group AROM to convert quantities for industrial aromatic hydrocarbons, if the function module is entered as an external function for this conversion group. For this setting, choose HPM (Hydrocarbon Product Management) -> Petroleum Measurement Standards -> Quantity Conversion Interface (QCI) Configuration -> Define conversion group and external functional module settings.
NOTE: SAP does not deliver the volume correction factor entries. As indicated in the QCI (Quantity Conversion Interface) documentation, you will have to obtain a copy of ASTM standard ASTM D-1555 95 from the ASTM and maintain the entries yourself. You can order a copy directly from the ASTM web page at www.astm.org.
