Definition

As standard, the system uses the XML export format for structured document contents for an XML document. You can however create XML documents with an XML format of your own which deviates from the standard.

If you use you own XML format, you have to:

• activate the "own XML format" indicator,
• define a document category definition (DCD) which describes your XML format. This is required for the system to be able to automatically check the document contents of your document category for structural correctness,
• define XSL transformations (stylesheets) so that the system can display document contents. These stylesheets must be converted from your own XML format to XML.
  You can assign the same stylesheet for several layouts (normal, short, print, quick view), you must however perform an assignment for each layout as soon as you use your own XML format.
