Definition
Select a case type with which you want to preregister the patient. Preregistration is possible for the case types inpatient , day patient and outpatient. If you preregister the patient with the case type inpatient or day patient, you can plan an inpatient admission appointment for the patient.
You can change the case type
- During the interval in which the patient is preregistered
- When the patient is admitted.
If you change the case type inpatient or day patient in the preregistration to outpatient, the system will cancel an already booked admission appointment, if one exists.
Once you have admitted the patient, it is not possible to change the preregistered case type.
