Definition

Five security levels apply when activating a treatment authorization.

When working in test mode, the system simply simulates the consequences of the check result. This means a message is issued indicating a missing treatment authorization or limited access, but access is not in fact restricted.

Users and administrators can carry out a validation in test mode to check whether the Customizing settings cover all use cases or whether adjustments are required.

"Permitting" or "Prohibiting" indicates what happens if an OU jurisdiction has not yet been configured for the logon user: access will either be permitted or prohibited.

Use

Meaning of the five security levels, sorted by the degree of access restriction:

  • OFF:
The treatment authorization check does not take place.
  • "Permitting" Test Mode:
The system simply reports access restrictions.
If an OU jurisdiction has not yet been configured for the logon user, they are still allowed access.
  • "Prohibiting" Test Mode:
The system simply reports access restrictions.
If an OU jurisdiction has not yet been configured for the logon user, they are not allowed access but the system simply reports that this is the case.
  • "Permitting" ON:
Access restrictions imposed due to the treatment authorization check are active.
If an OU jurisdiction has not yet been configured for the logon user, they are still allowed access.
  • "Prohibiting" ON:
Access restrictions imposed due to the treatment authorization check are active.
If an OU jurisdiction has not yet been configured for the logon user, they are not allowed access.
