Definition

The Request Number field can be used to assign an institution-specific identification for a request. The identification must not be unique and thus is not used as an identification criterion within the system.

Example: Use of request numbers that depend on the type of form used.

Note on clinical order and preregistration: The preregistration is a kind of clinical order. SAP Patient Management (IS-H) only uses Preregistration, whereas ISHMED also uses other kinds of clinical order. Therefore explanations for IS-H always concern the preregistration.
