Inpatient and outpatient scheduling type

The inpatient scheduling type is a planning unit for admission planning, which is used to define admission quotas for care units.

Example for inpatient scheduling types:

• Short or long-term patients
• Serious or non-serious nursing cases
• Different periods of stay

You can store, for example, the initial visit or the follow-up visit as outpatient scheduling types. However, you can also maintain the examinations to be scheduled as scheduling types.

Examples:

• Visit: The scheduling type used during visit scheduling
• Appointment: The scheduling type which is assigned to the appointment
• Service: The scheduling type used during service scheduling
