Definition
Identification of a clinical order type for a subsequent order item.
Use
This data element identifies a clinical order type that is the chronological successor to the order type defined in the data element N1COTID_TYP. At present, the system supports time dependencies to the effect that an order item resulting from an order type can only have a maximum of one time-dependent predecessor and successor.
The identification of the clinical order type is a unique key for a clinical order type. This key is used for internal processing and does not appear on the user interface.
