Definition
IS-H*MED: Clinical Order: Order Type Appointment Allocation Indicator
You use the Appointment Allocation indicator to control whether the organizational unit, which the clinical order addresses, reserves the right to allocate appointments for clinical orders, or whether it is also possible for other organizational units (e.g. the initiating OU or a call center) to plan appointments.
In addition to the Appointment Allocation indicator at clinical order level, there is also an Appointment Allocation indicator at addressed OU level. If this OU generally wishes to allocate each appointment itself, it is sufficient to select the Appointment Allocation indicator at the level of this OU. The Appointment Allocation indicator at clinical order level is then ineffective.
You use the Appointment Allocation indicator at clinical order level to determine, depending on the order type and the initiating OU, whether only the organizational unit addressed by the clinical order can plan the appointment, or whether other OUs can also plan the appointment.
