Definition

An additional account assignment for insurance: The year in which a claim was reported. The year is defined on a customer-specific basis. It may be a calendar year or a fiscal year.

Use

In conjunction with the other additional account assignments for insurance and the standard SAP account assignments, this forms the basis for statutory reporting to the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

In Collections/Disbursements for Insurance, the additional account assignment fields are stored as document info when posting a document. When transferring to the General Ledger, they are transferred to a Special Ledger. They are available for evaluations there; for example, if an accounting clerk is looking for the information that is required for reporting to BaFin.

Dependencies

If closing reports are prepared according to the underwriting year, you can use the reporting year as the underwriting year.

If there is also an entry in the year of loss field, the type of loss can be determined when data is transferred to the special ledger.
