Use

In infotype 2005, Overtime, you can enter begin and end times as well as overtime hours.
If you enter only begin and end times, the System calculates the number of overtime hours on the basis of these times and the overtime breaks specified in the daily work schedule or infotype.
If the time period defined by the begin and end times is longer than the specified overtime hours, the employee is authorized to work this number of overtime hours during the specified time period.

Procedure

Examples

Time:             18:00 - 22:00
Overtime hours:     3
The employee is authorized to work 3 overtime hours between 18:00 and 22:00 hours. The break rule in the employee's daily work schedule work defines an overtime break between 20:00 and 20:10 hours.
If the employee works from 18:00 - 21:10 hours, the overtime quota is fulfiled.
