Determines whether access to the characteristic is generally permitted or denied, or whether access authorization is controlled by the distinction between individual values of the characteristic.

Use

Set this indicator if you want to assign authorizations according to characteristic values. If you do not set this indicator, you can only assign a single authorization for all values of the characteristic.

Dependencies

Example

You specify for the characteristic "financial statement item" that an authorization check is to be performed at the characteristic value level. This lets you to define different authorizations for processing individual items.
