Documentation
Definition
Specifies the employer's contribution amount to the social insurance scheme for each employee.
Dependencies
If you leave this field blank, the system calculates the employer's contribution based on the difference between the employee's contribution and the total contribution amount.
Example
The employee's contribution is 80% of the total contribution amount (R500). The employer's contribution then defaults to 20% of the total amount (R100).
Use
If you specify the employer's threshold amount, the employer pays the difference between the employee contribution and the threshold amount entered. The employee contribution is then calculated to equal the total contribution minus the employer contribution.
Example
As in the example above, the employee's percentage of contribution is 80% and the employer's contribution is 20%. However in this example, the employer threshold amount is R400. The system calculates the employer contribution as 20% of the R400 to equal R80. The employee contribution is therefore R420.
