Documentation

Assigns the next higher age or seniority pay scale to the employee.

Use

If you select this indicator, the system increases the age or seniority pay scale in the Basic Pay infotype (0008) for the employee for the given validity period.

This function is used for a temporary pay scale increase to reward a public sector employee for sustained excellent performance (cf. §27 par. 3, Bundesbesoldungsgesetz (Public Sector Remuneration Act). However, you can also use this function for hourly-paid employees and salaried employees in the Public Sector.

Dependencies

If you create a record for the Additional Basic Pay Information infotype (0304), the system splits the Basic Pay infotype (0008) in the same period, provided it has no time restrictions. The system then increases the pay scale level in the Basic Pay infotype with the same validity period.
