This age category indicator is used to determine wage tax [loonheffing] and national insurance contributions.
Three age groups can be distinguished:
- 0 = Younger than AOW age (code 0)
- 1 = AOW age with birthday last year or older (code 1)
- 2 = AOW age with birthday in current year (code 2)
