Definition
If an error occurs due to an incorrect entry while processing the Internet application components for managing Internet users (Create Internet User, Change Access Data for Internet User), the system enters a corresponding value in this field. This value can be used to display error messages at certain points on the HTML template.
Errors can occur during logon, in the alias or user name, in the password and in the e-mail address. It may also be that an Internet user already exists in the IAC Create Internet User. For example, the customer fails to specify a user name although this is required. The system calls his attention to this fact by displaying an error message at the appropriate point.
Moreover, the value can be used to display and hide fields. For example, there is no e-mail address recorded for the customer. The error item is then assigned the value for e-mail. The field for entering the e-mail address could be displayed dynamically in the HTML template at this point with a note informing the user that the customer's e-mail address is required before an Internet user can be created.
