Definition
The BW extractor generates several data records for a contract. One data record is created for each time slice that divides the contract validity period.
This characteristic controls division of the target agreement amongst these time slices.
Value range
Equally amongst all time slices
Each time slice receives the same share of the target agreement even if it does not fall entirely within the target agreement.
Example
If time slices always start on the first day of the month, the system divides the target agreement for a contract with a validity period from June 16 to June 15 of the following year equally amongst 13 time slices June, July, ..., May, June.
Combine first and last time slice
If the first and last time slice do not fall entirely within the contract validity period, these two time slices receive the same share of the target agreement as each of the other time slices (that fall entirely within the contract validity period). The system divides this share between the first and last time slice according to the number of days they have that fall within the contract validity period.
Example
In the example above, time slices July, ..., May each receive a 1/12 of the target agreement and the June time slices each receive 1/12 * 15/30.
Division by the number of days
The system divides the target agreement amongst the time slices according to the number of days they have that fall within the contract validity period.
Example
In the example above, shorter months receive smaller shares.
Division by the number of publication dates
The system divides the target agreeemnt amongst the time slices according to the publication dates in the leading booking unit that fall within the contract validity period.
