Definition

The balance type is a sort criterion for aggregating balances in a base portfolio. The system uses the balance type and the asset/liability indicator to distinguish the aggregated balances.

The system separates the balances into different summarization structures to prepare the data for subsequent evaluations. This is necessary because the various evaluations summarize the balances differently. The balance type helps you control the summarization process.

In this field you enter the balance type for summarizing the balances with the A/L indicator "liability".
