Definition

You use this indicator to define how the alternative interest rate is to be assigned.

Use

You have the following options:

  • Fixed assignment of an interest rate
  • Fixed assignment of an interest rate for a particular fixed interest rate period
  • Daily adjustment of the alternative interest rate if the opportunity contribution is to be calculated on a daily basis
  • Interest rate average. In this case you are prompted for the term of the interest rate and how many reporting periods are to be used to calculate the average.
  • Weighted assignment from several fixed interest rates. In this case you need to make the relevant settings in Customizing in the OI weighting table.

  • Weighted assignment of several adjustment periods.

  • Opportunity Procedure for Weighted, Independent Tranches
  • Structurally-congruent effective interest rate of an alternative transaction. You can only use this variant for transactions with fixed cash flows.
  • Opportunity interest rate for core deposit products, if the opportunity contribution is to be calculated on an average basis.
  • Determination of the opportunity interest rate from a calculated duration. Can be used only with transactions with fixed cash flows.
