Definition

With this indicator you define how the contract volume is determined for transactions costed according to single position costing.

The contract volume is only for the purpose of information and is otherwise not used for costing.

The procedures for calculating the contract volume are only set for the procedure groups futures and options.

Use

The user has the following options:

  • The contract volume is calculated by IS-B
  • The contract volume and the average contract volume are calculated by IS-B.
  • Transfer of the contract volume
  • Connecting a user-exit for the calculation of the contract volume

In both of the first cases the user chooses one of the firmly defined procedures for calculating the contract volume, depending on to which procedure group the transaction is allocated.

The procedure groups mean the following for the determination of the contract volume:

  • Options:    Rate as amount * contract number * contract value
  • Futures I:    Rate as percentage/amount/exchange rate/index value* contract number * contract value
  • Futures II(money market futures):    Rate as percentage * contract number* contract value
