Definition
Each transaction direction has its own currency. All cash flows on the transaction direction are managed in this currency or translated to this currency for evaluation purposes. As a consequence, the flows that make up a cash flow are sometimes translated into the currency of the transaction direction.
In the case of a loan transaction, for example, the currency of the transaction direction would be the contract currency.
