Definition
The node ID clearly identifies a certain node of a risk management hierarchy. The ID contains a maximum of 5 nummerical characters. You must create a node ID for every risk factor, also for every point in the risk hierarchy at which risk factors or summarizing nodes are further summarized, right up to the top node, the market risk or whole bank risk.
You also enter a node ID in the field parent or previous node, namely the ID of the immediate predecessor node. The only node without a predecessor where the field "parent node" remains emptpy, is the node at the top of the hierarchy. Depending on the order in which the risk hierarchy nodes are created, it is possible that a node ID that is not yet defined is entered in the field "parent node". For this reason, there is no entry help and creating the nodes should be carefully planned.
