Definition
A portfolio hierarchy is a structure for aggregating the financial transactions summarized in the base portfolios on various hierarchy levels.
Since the portfolio hierarchy is always assigned to a view, you should define the hierarchy levels in line with the characteristics of the view. This also enables you to assign a view various portfolio hierarchies and achieve a flexible evaluation result.
The lowest node in a portfolio hierarchy is assigned the base portfolios containing the aggregated or single transaction data for the view. This data is summarized in the evaluations along the hierarchy which means that you can also display evaluation results on higher hierarchy levels.
