Use
When you maintain a financial object, and you are using the non-integrated financial object maintenance, a method is then used to find the base portfolio. This method can be used for the mass processing of data. The system first reads all the existing base portfolios in the internal tables, and then searches for the sample characteristic values in these tables. This method of finding the base portfolio is not suitable for use when you maintain an object by using transaction JBDO, or when you import a small number of financial objects in an external data transfer.
For this reason, there is now a new method (Small) that you can use for a small number of financial objects. In this method, the system searches for the base portfolio directly in the database.
You can use these parameters to define the maximum number of financial objects for which the Small method is to be used. If you do not enter a value for this parameter, the new method is not used.
Dependencies
You determine the optimum threshold value by measuring performance. A pilot customer found that the runtime improves by more than 50% if the new method is used for less than 10 financial objects.
