Definition

The bank product is the bank's smallest marketing unit.

Use

Each bank transaction is assigned to a unique bank product. The bank product has no direct function in single transaction or single position costing. Its significance lies in the fact that it is used to determine the costing rule, which controls the costing of individual transactions.

The bank product is a characteristic offered as part of the SAP Banking standard which can be evaluated in bank profitability analysis.
