Definition
Defines the percentage of the transaction position that is to be mature, or by how much, in percentage, the transaction position is to grow. The assumed percentage maturity/growth (percentage of the initial amount at the start of the term of the transaction) can reflect empirical values and, in a due date scenario, should amount to 100% of the initial amount if the entire transaction position is to mature.
Maturity is represented by a positive value (in other words the balance is being reduced); growth is represented by a negative value (meaning that the balance is increasing).
In the Simulate Due Date Scenario transaction, maturities are shown by a minus sign.
If a revolving opportunity interest rate calculated from floating averages is to be used in gap analysis or ALM evaluations, then the due date scenario assigned in the valuation rule must not reflect growth (negative outflows).
