Definition
Number of time units for the determination of an interest rate.
The number of time units (for example, three) is always connected to a unit of time (for example, months).
Use
Application 1:
When maintaining a costing rule, if the user chooses the option of calculating the opportunity interest rate as an average of an interest rate from the interest tables, you must define what interest term (e.g. 3-months interest rate) is to be taken and for what time period (e.g. 12 months) the average is to be calculated.
Application 2:
When maintaining a costing rule, if the user chooses the option of calculating the opportunity contribution on a daily basis and daily adjustment of the opportunity interest rate, you determine the relevant interest rate from the interest tables with this interest term (time unit and number of time units, e.g. 3 months).
