Documentation
Definition
This field displays the bank key under which the bank data is stored in the respective country.
You define the country-specific meaning of the bank key when you define the country key.
Use
Usually, a bank is stored under its bank number. This bank number is then duplicated in the control data for the bank.
In certain countries, the bank account number assumes this function. In such cases, there are no bank numbers and the bank data is stored under the account number.
For the purposes of data medium exchange it can be useful to enter the banks of foreign business partners without a bank number, even if the respective country uses bank numbers. In such cases, you can assign the bank key internally.
If the bank data is stored under a different key, such as a SWIFT code, you can also agree on external number assignment.
Supplementary Documentation - JBIBP_BAPIBANKK0009
Use
The bank key identifies the house bank account to which the check is to be deposited.
Dependencies
You need to specify the bank key only if it is not to be transferred from an external system.
If the account numbers for house banks are unique in the SAP system, you can omit the bank key.
