Definition

The costing procedure 'Transfer price - weighted adjustment', divides the average volume of a transaction into tranches. The transfer price is adjusted for each tranche after a certain period of time. In this field, you find the beginning of the first adjustment period for a tranche.

You have to maintain the conditions for asset side/liability side and for local currency/transaction currency seperately.

Example

Account term : 01/01/1998 - 12/31/1999

TP conditions - weighted adjustment asset-side/transaction currency:

Tranche(NSTUFE) Percentage TP Term 1st Adjustment
01 50 6 M 01/01/1998
02 50 1 J 01/01/1998

The six month rate is adjusted on 01/01/1998, 07/01/1998, 01/01/1999 and 07/01/1999.

The one year rate is adjusted on 01/01/1998 and 01/01/1999.

Both the adjustment date and the transaction currency use the yield curve type of the costing rule.

The transfer price is calculated as follows for a costing period:
A transfer price is calculated for each tranche in that the transfer prices valid in the respective periods are time-weighted according to their validity. A time-weighting only has to be made if an adjustment is made for the tranche within the period.
The transfer prices determined for each tranche are then weighted according to the percentage rate of every tranche.
The resulting transfer price is then used to calculate the opportunity contribution for the average volume.
